The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a senior executive in a company whose main responsibility is to protect the company's information systems and information from cyber-attacks. A CISO must possess a comprehensive understanding of the organization's information security structure, policies, and procedures, and the strengths and weaknesses of the company's IT (IT) infrastructure. Additionally, a CISO is responsible for overseeing and directing the company's information security operations which include the recovery and response to incidents.
